The Upgrade is basically a swap with a bigger capacity battery. We will install the high voltage battery in our shop in Bucharest, Romania / Milton Keynes, UK in a day or we can ship it anywhere in EU. In December 2022, we took a customer's Nissan ENV200 (with the 55kWh pack) back to it's owner. The trip started in our shop in Bucharest and ended in Copenhagen, Denmark. A total of 3,000km (1880 miles) were driven with DC CHAdeMO charging stops only. We drove the van through Romania, Hungary, Austria, Germany and lastly Denmark. The average speed was 50-55mph / 80-90kmh. The average CHAdeMO DC charging speed was above 40kW for the entire trip. We were worried that the pack would overheat after a few charging sessions, however the A/C system manages to cool the battery down - if charged till 95% SOC. This is due to lower charging speeds at higher SOC.
For the Nissan ENV200, we have at least one 55kWh battery ready to be dispatched at any given time. All our batteries pass an extensive testing procedure. We load test them in our test van by driving it at motorway speeds followed by several subsequent charging sessions and carefully following the heat-temperature and power-capacity map.
